20 Eclipse Navigation Shortcuts Every Java Programmer Should Know

There’re 20 very useful Eclipse shortcuts. I use them almost everyday:

  • Adds Java doc comment – Alt+Shift+J
  • Backward History – Alt+Left
  • Copy lines – Ctrl + Alt+Down
  • Delete next word – Ctrl+Delete
  • Delete previous word – Ctrl+Backspace
  • Delete to end of line – Ctrl+Shift+Delete
  • Duplicate line – Ctrl+Alt+Up
  • Format – Ctrl+Shift+F
  • Google – Ctrl+Shift+G
  • Last edit location – Ctrl+Q
  • Open type – Ctrl+Shift+T
  • Move lines down – Alt+Down
  • Move lines up – Alt+Up
  • Find text in workspace – Ctrl+Alt+G
  • Show in menu – Alt+Shift+W
  • Switch to editor – Ctrl+Shift+E
  • Quick switch editor – Ctrl+E
  • Previous view – Ctrl+Shift+F7
  • Previous editor – Ctrl+Shift+F6
  • Open resource – Ctrl+Shift+R
